It’s the ancestral origin of the Hebrew people, but prior to 1948 Palestinians had called that land home for over a millennium. I see a direct analogy between what the Israelis did to the Palestinians, and what the English did to the Native Americans – they kicked them out of their homes and said “This is our land now”. Nowadays, both sides have blood on their hands. It’s time for the Israelis to stop being bullies, time for the Palestinians to stop supporting terrorism – and time for the US to stop picking sides. |
