From what I gather, the NSA does whatever the hell it wants to. They have secret briefings, and will answer questions from congress, but never provide enough information in the briefing to even formulate a question. If congress isn’t aware of a particular activity like, I dunno, the NSA providing tips to the DEA, then how can they provide oversight to the constitutionality of what the NSA is doing? This orginization if frighteningly out control. |
