Tarrifs used to be the main way America generated its revenue. Our historic tariffs ranged anywhere from 20 – 40% on dutiable imports. Now it’s at 1.3%. China still charges us 20%. So, why don’t you ask Romney’s backers the (U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other multi-national business groups) if they support the current arrangement or seek to make it more equitable. Most of us already know the answer to that, but go ahead and check for yourself. |
