There were nomads with their goats and it was just a complete culture shock. One of my friends knew someone in the area and we all camped out on the living room floor of this man’s home, which was an amazing experience. Another adventurous experience was climbing Camelback Mountain, in Arizona. It’s more than a mile high and at one stage the ascent involved a bit of rock climbing, which was challenging because I’m asthmatic. Getting to the top felt like a real achievement. |
