The Jets were shut out in the second half, and when they finally let Smith air out the football, he made two bad mistakes, both interceptions within the Steelers’ 25-yard line. The rookie made last week’s near-flawless performance in the win against the Falcons look more like the exception than the rule. Smith finished 19-of-34 for 201 yards and the two key picks. He took one deep shot in the second quarter but overthrew a wide-open Stephen Hill. |
